- Add a “REG_DWORD” named “IrqRouteToPciController” and assign a value of “8“.
- Reboot

How to fix drive write errors in unRAID
by Logan Rogers-Follis on Oct.28, 2012, under Techie
Recently I had 1 of my hard drives in unRAID lock and switch to read mode every time I’d try to copy/move files onto the Share that used the drive. After some digging around it looks as though I needed to follow the wiki article “Check Disk Filesystems – unRAID“.

Do NOT run ComboFix on a PC running older Create A Card software!
by Logan Rogers-Follis on Oct.27, 2012, under Techie
Just a warning to anyone and a remind to me. DO NOT RUN COMBOFIX ON ANY PC RUNNING OLDER VERSION OF CREATE A CARD SOFTWARE! It will break the application and an uninstall/install is the only fix. Unsure what all versions are affected, but just be warned!

Firefox / Thunderbird pains…and solution!
by Logan Rogers-Follis on Oct.14, 2012, under Techie
I have recently come to find Firefox and Thunderbird to be horribly slow at times. Event though it was “fixed” with the latest version I switch to the ESR versions. Please check out the links on the Self Help section for download of Firefox ESR and Thunderbird ESR if you are like me and are sick of being the beta tester and just need a browser that works all the time.
